My Story

Penny has had a life-long romance with flowers. As a small child while her brother endeared himself to their mother by smelling the flowers in their garden and then leaving them be, Penny used to pick them, put them in jars, display them in the window of her dad’s shed (Penny’s Corner) and sell them to friends and relations who visited. This early interest progressed to a Saturday job in a florist in her teens and has culminated in the running of her own company for the last fifteen years. Her love of creating the most memorable and beautiful flower displays to really make an event magical, has never waned and her execution is faultless.

Penny is based in a studio in the grounds of historic Dorney Court, in Berkshire, and is one of their recommended suppliers. The studio is just a few steps away from both the church and the barn.

She is also in-house florist at Phyllis Court Country Club, where she not only provides wedding flowers, but also weekly flowers for the house, plant arrangements for the leisure centre, and themed displays for their special events. Highlights of the year are Henley Regatta, Remembrance Day and the New Year’s Eve Ball, but there have also been memorable one offs, for example, innovative displays for the Queen’s 90th Birthday and a moving tribute to the Suffragettes for the Centenary of women qualifying to get the vote.

Penny lives with her husband, three gorgeous boys and her sweet spaniel, Daisy. When she is not arranging flowers, she can be found researching the latest trends on trips to the RHS flower shows and absorbing the delights of the likes of Highgrove.
